This morning grade 1 students wrote: "Practice skip counting by 2's, 5's and 10's." in their agendas, while grade 2 students wrote: "Practice the days of the week in French." in their agendas.

First thing today, grade 2 students continued to learn about the verbs "être" and "avoir"-specifically with the word nous (we). Grade 1 students were asked to write a few sentences independently

Student enjoyed some dancing in gym.

After little recess and snack, grade 1 students were given two final blocks of time to finish their leprechaun traps (decorate them as well), then they were asked to explain their leprechaun traps to our classmates.

Grade 2 students continued working on their boats. Many students are now at the stage of adapting the design of their watercraft so it can be propelled through water. If students succeed at that challenge, they are given the choice to either build a floating house, or something that half floats half sinks (submarine).

Students exchanged their library books.

After lunch and big recess, we completed a round of Daily 5, then, using the chromebooks, the class was able to practice skip counting and numbers to 100 games (grade 1's) or measurement games (grade 2's).

We ended our day with listening to our grade 1 friends present their awesome leprechaun traps.
