Monday March 6th 2017
This morning students wrote: "Sign and return registration form. Library tomorrow." in their agendas. A reminder that the registration forms are important for the school, as they help us to plan for the upcoming school year.
The class participated to the assembly. The grade 5's challenged us to compliment people, and to introduce ourselves to someone we do not know.
Students completed a round of Daily 5. Then we responded to a questions that was asked last week: "Why did the Holy Spirit send Jesus to the desert for 40 days to resist temptations".
We completed the decoding of our morning message followed by calendar time.
After little recess and snack, grade 1 students completed a science evaluation about the winter season, while the grade 2's continued to use a calendar to respond to a variety of math questions. (Mark went to the dentist on October 5th, today is October 17th. Did Mark go to the dentist more than a week ago or less than a week ago?)
Students enjoyed music with Mme Dominique.
This afternoon, the grade 1's enjoyed gym with Mme Harding, while the grade 2's learned about Iqaluit, specifically games and traditions that they have.
The class completed a round of daily 5... We added a finishing touch to our Friday art project.
Finally, we ended our day with editing our stories! re-reading our stories and making sure it makes sense.
