Monday April 11th 2016

Hello, and a happy Monday to all! Students started off their day writing: "Easter mass tomorrow." in their agenda's. The mass will be held at Holy Family Parish from 10:30-11:30, feel free to walk with us to the church-we will be leaving at 10am.

Students were very excited today, because we got a new and bright smartboard projector! Yipee!!

Rather than doing what I had predicted in my week at a glance (Finishing up Spring writing). We learned about our new theme in French which is teeth and dental health. 

Students enjoyed music with Mme Dominique, and afterwards, enjoyed practicing hand-eye coordination skills with their racquets and balls; specifically hitting the ball with the racquet against the wall, letting the ball bounce before hitting it again (sort of like tennis).

We then returned to class where we completed a measurement activity. Students compared the size of their feet with those of their classmates, using the vocabulary "Mon pied est plus court/long que le pied de ______" (My foot is shorter/longer than _____'s foot.)

This afternoon, the class participated to the daily 5, and then they enjoyed our final "building things" activity: a car! We discussed what parts of the car are important for it to function, we also spoke about what would happen if...

The cars went home, because not all of them worked as I had predicted!
