Our agenda message today is 'Read a French and English book'
This morning, we read a story in French about a little boy who had a loose tooth and all of the misadventures that he got into trying to pull it out. We then began writing a collective story about having a loose tooth.
After small recess, we discussed what distance is, and students practiced measuring distance.
Students enjoyed Music with Mme Dominique.
We launched our new Science unit: The needs of plants and animals. Students used their five senses to discover the differences between a real plant and a fake plant. We spoke about the needs the real plant has that tells us it's alive. Tomorrow we will be revisiting what we learnt today
We exchanged our library books.
To end our day, students took their fiction stories that they have been working so hard on completing, and read it to a partner in the classroom. That partner then had to find the author's story plan. We then had a class discussion about how the story plan helped us to be better authors, and keep track of our idea. Students brought these home to show off!
We then changed our focus from fiction writing to non-fiction writing. We started looked at fiction and non-fiction books in order to help us talk about the differences between the two.
We finished with some Daily Physical Activity outside!
