Friday April 8th 2016

This morning students wrote: "Check out Scholastic Magazine" in their agendas.

We started our day off with an assembly, where students had the opportunity to say a sad, but happy goodbye to Mme Simone, who is now officially off on maternity leave!

This morning we painted a kleenex box and toilet paper roll, and we began to discover what we could build with the materials we had. Afterwards, students completed their healthy meal writing.

When they returned from recess they brainstormed all of the different things they could build using their objects, which resulted in building a guitar!

Afterwards, students discussed different things about Spring and then went for a Spring walk. They were coached to use their five senses to look for various signs that the season is upon us. They found buds on trees, green grass beginning to sprout and tulips poking up at the front of the school. They then returned to class to do some Spring themed writing in their Science nature journal.

This afternoon, students began their Eric Carle inspired painting, which was quite messy, but next week, we will have the chance to see the completed and beautiful result.

We ended our day with Daily Physical Activity, outside! Enjoy your weekend!
