This morning students wrote: "Have a great weekend." in their agenda

The class participated to a round of daily 5, followed by our morning message. Mme Schile was present for our calendar time, and she was extremely impressed with the level of French the kids had during our lesson! (BRAVO LES AMIS!!)

In Social Studies, grade 1 students continued to work on identifying and differentiating urban and rural communities.  Grade 2's were asked to compare our community with the Iqaluit community. They were also encouraged to determine certain things that the people of Iqaluit would do in the past (would move with the seasons, lived in tents made of animal skin etc.)

After little recess and snack, the class was given time to work on their boats, and their leprechaun traps.

In religion, we discussed how lent is a time that encourages us to take the steps to get closer to God.

This afternoon, we completed a round of daily 5. After this, we made a beautiful city-line painting... Students had fun folding their painting over, forcing a nice little imprint on their paper which looked like a reflection.
