This morning students wrote: "Scholastic book orders due tomorrow."

Students completed a round of French Daily 5, followed by the morning message and calendar time. We read the book: "La chenille qui fait des trous." and grade 1's continued to work on their own version. Grade 2's began to write about their mystery object.

The class enjoyed learning the Cadillac Ranch in the gym.

After little recess and snack, grade 1 and 2 students practiced some length measurement skills and vocabulary. Grade 2's especially worked on estimating measures using non-standard units (Q-tips and blocs).

Students enjoyed shopping and looking around at the Scholastics book fair.

This afternoon, students completed a round of Daily 5 then we used the chromebooks to practice writing using picture prompts. Students wee especially encouraged to stretch out their writing.
