This morning students wrote: "Check out my report card!" in their agenda's.
The class participated to the weekly assembly. A few representatives from "Run Wild" came to talk to the school about why this is such a great event to participate to. A reminder that if your child wishes to be a part of running club (which helps to prepare them for run wild), they must sign and return their forms. The Run Wild event registration is online.
Once back in the classroom, students completed a round of French Daily 5, followed by practicing our French reading skills with the morning message. One of our grade 1 students lead us through calendar time.
After this, the grade 1's read the book: "La chenille qui fait des trous" and then started to work on their own version. Grade 2's received a new descriptive words dictionary sheet, on which they drew their mystery object-they then began to write a few descriptive words next to their picture to help them plan their writing.
After little recess and snack, we decided to finish our water slides (because we have a few students gone on vacation tomorrow). Check out Seesaw for videos of their projects. Most slides are finished, and have been successful!
Students enjoyed music with Mme Dominique.
This afternoon, while the grade 1's were away for gym, grade 2's revisited the people who contributed to the Inuit community. They then learned about some Inuit traditions (music, activities etc.)
The class completed a round of Daily 5.
We read the afternoon message that was a punctuation DISASTER, we read a book focused on punctuation, and then the class practiced writing sentences with a variety of punctuations.
Report cards were sent home at the end of today, please look through them. Remember: your child has worked very hard, be proud :)
