This morning students wrote: "Bring donation for Sifton school." in their agendas.
Today, the class read to self, followed by our morning message and calendar. After a fun "twelve days of Chirstmas" book, students were asked to finish their santa's sleigh French writing that they had started yesterday.
We had snack, followed by an indoor recess, and grade 1's were taken away to music for their last practice before next week . Grade 2's learned about different things/activities that people in Nova Scotia can do (clam digging, whale watching, go to the bay of fundy, lobster fishing, go to school), the kids then chose those they liked the most and explained why.
When the grade 1's returned, the class learned about addition stories, and how to interpret what someone says: There are 12 cats in my house, 3 are orange, how many are black? ____+ 3= 12
In religion, we continued to learn about the season of advent.
This afternoon, we completed a long round of Daily 5, the class then had gym with Mme Harding, we ended our day thinking of different Santa/Christmas themed problems, which your child will write a story about tomorrow!
