Our agenda message today is 'Practice adding with 9'. This weekend, please take the time to review and practice ALL addition strategies.

During our morning assembly, the class was able to practice their 'Flash Mob' dance! Come to the EMP 25th anniversary on June 1st to see it in action! We practiced until 10:45

Upon our return from recess, the class ate snack. They did their French reading, and calendar time. Afterwards we jumped into some addition and subtraction games to help with our abilities. We finally ended our morning with talking about animal adaptations. Students attempted to write their names without using their thumbs, how interesting! We then learnt about animals that have adapted. We learnt that animals have behavioral adaptations (migration) and other animals have physical adaptations (polar bear fur).

This afternoon, we completed some "Top and Bottom" art. Students drew the plants we will be planting in our garden on MONDAY. They ensured to draw the tops and bottoms. They then completed the art with water colors.

Students were also tested on their sight words.
