This morning students wrote: "Ask me about being a good citizen." in their agenda's.
Grade 2 students left shortly after the morning bell for Gym with other Grade 2 students, while Grade 1's had the opportunity to complete the calendar-We also learnt another way to start a sentence: "Je vois".
When the grade 2's returned, the class completed a cut and paste activity with school words. They then read their school word books.
After small recess, we listened to the song Tolerance by Mr. Stanley which helped us understand what the T stands for in our HRTS. We listened to more of our grade 1 and 2 friends present their HRTS posters.
In mathematics, the class practiced counting to 20 in French...
We also worked on more of our magic c letters: c, d, g and a. If you notice that your child is printing those four letters, demand that they have perfect printing! As they have been working on it in class.
This afternoon, we practiced Read to Self, and the class demonstrated a stamina of 2 minutes! WOW!
In religion, we read the story of the Good Samaritan. We discussed who the good samaritan was, why he was a good samaritan, if the good samaritan was also a good citizen. Finally we reviewed what a Good Citizen truly is.
The students ended their day in Music with Mme Dominique.
