Welcome back from the long weekend

Our agenda message today is 'We have library tomorrow'. Our last day to exchange books will be next week, so please take advantage!

I would also like to remind everyone to please send in your Children's Festival permission form! We are in need of 4 parent volunteers, and so if you are available, please put it on the sheet.

This morning students added a new dictionary sheet titled 'animal homes', we found the sounds, and used it to do some writing about our animal somewhere in the farm. Students also used the skills they acquired with prepositions on Thursday to add details to their writing. We will use all of our practice time to begin our farm writing tomorrow!

After small recess, the class completed a small needs of plants and animals evaluation.

Following this, we played a math game to practice adding with 9. We created an anchor chart of addition and subtraction strategies, and then practiced using these strategies to complete addition and subtraction questions in our math books.

This afternoon, students were introduced to the best writing ever!!!!!! They were very excited! We reviewed all of the things a fiction, and non-fiction story need to have.

We enjoyed gym with M. Loiselle.

Students then began to plan their best writing ever!!!
