Our agenda message today is 'Please sign and return mass permission form.' In case it did not make it home, please find it on my Permission Forms Tab on my website!
This morning the class practiced their Volunteer picnic song. Afterwards, we added some animals to the farms we created on wednesday last week. We then began to write about our farm, using our dictionaries to help us describe the animal, the action they are doing and their location on the farm.
After small recess, we began to learn about a community in the past; Beaumont. Students listened to a French story that explained the first settlers, what jobs they had, what the children did. We then observed the changes that occurred within Beaumont. Following this, we looked at a picture of a community 50 years ago, and the community now. Students identified the changes, whether they were good or bad.
Students enjoyed music with Mme Dominique.
Upon their return to the classroom, they revisited the addition and subtraction work they completed yesterday, correcting mistakes etc. They then played some addition and subtraction games with dice and a partner.
This afternoon we reviewed the expectations, and continued planning our best writing ever!!!!
Students exchanged their library books.
Upon their return from library, the class continued working on their plans, followed by re-making flowers for the Volunteer picnic.
