Our agenda message today is 'Bring a shape to school tomorrow'. This is to encourage your child to bring an object, that has a particular shape. Whether it's a teddy bear, with a sphere shaped head, or a truck with a cylinder body. Your child must be able to identify what shape their object has!

Yesterday students were assigned parts in the play, les trois petits cochons. And so today we did a read through together. Following this, we continued to practice our song for the class play.

We began our geometry unit by using a variety of different 3D shapes to build a castle. Students used today to explore the shapes, and to get the 'play' out of their systems. Tomorrow, we will look at objects more closely to identify their shape.

Following this, we re-visited the beginnings of St. Albert. Talking about why Father Lacombe came here. We then discussed the first thing he built, and why he built it (Father Lacombe Chapel to help teach the First Nations about Jesus). We added this to our timeline.

This afternoon students completed their Daily 5. Following this, they enjoyed some tennis with the St. Albert Tennis Club in the gym.

We ended our day by beginning to learn about the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
