This morning students wrote: "We have library tomorrow." in their agenda's. Afterwards we had a class discussion regarding our speaking French. We talked about our bâtons (French reward system) and that the bigger the effort to speak in French, the more bâtons we receive, the bigger our prize is.
Students received a French Easter Dictionary page, and used their highlighters to find all of the French Combo Sounds. Afterwards, we did some writing on a funky bunny page about all the different things we found and put in our Easter basket.
After small recess we went to the computer lab, and learnt how to comment on someone's Kidblog, we talked about appropriate comments, and that Mlle Élodie must approve the comments before they can be posted to the website. We also learnt how to edit our old Kidblog posts, because sometimes we run out of time to finish blogging.
In math, students completed a small activity that encouraged them to count by 2's. Tomorrow measurement begins officially!
This afternoon we spoke about things Editor's look for when they check an author's writing, and two things came up: good printing and DOES IT MAKE SENSE! Students will have the opportunity to practice these tomorrow with their story writing.
To end our day, students finished drawing their "Jesus is risen, Alleluia, Alleluia" picture in their Religion Scrapbooks.
