This morning students wrote: "School Science Faire tonight at 6" join us in looking at what the future holds.

Students did another writing activity about what they and their siblings ate for breakfast.

After small recess, we played a few counting games, using manipulative's to make groups of 5 and 10. We competed in seeing who could make their groups of 10 the fastest. We also practiced counting, and used various strategies to see why counting in groups is easier and faster than one by one.

Students adventured a second time in what an urban and rural community are. We read the book: "City kid and country kid" and we saw what the differences were in the story. We then discussed which we would prefer to be, and why. Tomorrow I will be conducting an evaluation to see how well they understood the differences and similarities between each.

This afternoon students practiced their Daily 5, we did some Yoga activities because we lost our gym block, and to end our day, we looked at all of the things we know about writing, and started writing our own stories made up of our imagination!!! SO MUCH FUN!

Students were also tested on Sight words.

That was all for today!
