Friday March 4th 2016
Happy Friday everyone! This morning students wrote: "Check out Scholastic book form" in their agenda's.
This morning we participated to an assembly that was very important to us, as it spoke about the Philippines, and all of the fundraising we've been doing to help them out. We ended our assembly with a special prayer for the Philippines.
Afterwards, students completed a social studies assessment on Urban and Rural communities, what differences and similarities do they have?
Students explored, and practiced skip counting by 2's. We talked about how skip counting by 2's means that you're always missing one number.
We then took a look at our beautiful junk. We will be building two different communities: one rural and one urban. We looked at all the materials and started to plan how we would build our different communities.
To end our day, the students used the Chromebooks to make their second Blog Post! Yippee!
Have a great weekend!
