What a day! This morning student's wrote in their agendas: " Valentine's day activities tomorrow" This is a reminder that if you wanted to send in a snack, you're more than welcome to, and if you're sending Valentines, send enough for the entire class!

This morning students enjoyed some animal walk, rotation and landing activities in the gym.

We then moved on to some math activities. We will be revisiting certain things in addition and subtraction.

After recess, students were tested on their sight words. 

Students continued a Snow man at night writing activity, adding the winter action their snow man does at night. tomorrow we will be adding the final detail: what their snow man loves (because, of course, tomorrow in grade 1 it's valentines day!) 

Students then completed their string of good deed beads for our lenten project, they should be sent home tomorrow (we will see if I can get them all tied and finished!)

To end our day, we reviewed our words of the week, we did some Daily 5, practicing claiming our reading strategy that we will be working on.

Mme Dargis-Boucher came in to do our second last Strong Start lesson, which encompassed: People problems and how to deal with them (More or less, telling that person that what they're doing is not nice, and walking away).

To end the day, we finished up our super top secret Valentines day art project!
