This morning students wrote: "Have a great Thanksgiving! See you Wednesday." in their agendas.

We started our day with reading to self in French. We then began decoding our morning message, but were interrupted by the need for our photos! Students were lucky to take their pictures inside. Check out their pochette to find their paper with information for where to order the pictures.

Once back in the classroom, we finished decoding our message, followed by completing our calendar time. We then read a French Thanksgiving book.

We jumped into social studies, talking about all the things we can do in St. Albert. Next week, we will do our drawing...

After small recess we enjoyed a special birthday snack.

Grade 2's completed their patterns evaluation.

Grade 1 played numbers up to 20 math games, practicing their oral French, and number recognition. These flashcards were sent home. Please check out my Français tab for the corresponding video that can help with decoding the words. There is also a numbers activity lower in the page. PLEASE be wary, your child will most likely mix up quinze, quatorze and quatre, as the first two letters ressemble themselves! Question them..

After this, we read the book: A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

In religion, we discussed that our class is like a community, our parish is part of this community. We discussed symbols of the church.

For Daily Physical Activity, we did a cosmic kids yoga video.

After big recess, we completed a round of read to self. We decided to save learning how to do read to a partner for after Thanksgiving, because two of our classmates are absent today. We decoded our afternoon message, directing our afternoon activity;

Students made a turkey... working on their French reading skills as they had to color the correct color on each part of the Turkey... During this, we watched the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving short movie.

We ended our day reading the book: The Great Thanksgiving Escape.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!!
