Our agenda message today is 'E-mail close up photo of dad'. This is for our super awesome Father's Day project! Send it in if you haven't already done so.

We read a French Fairy Tale about a very selfish wolf, and his encounters with the three little pigs, little red riding hood and the seven dwarfs. We talked about how we would be rehearsing a play, and so we need to give life and voices to our own play, just like Mme does when she reads a book. Following this, we did a first read through our Trois Petit Cochon's play.

We listened to more of our silly animals presentations.

Students completed a math evaluation on addition and subtraction to 20.

We then learnt about the first nations peoples. We compared their story of creation with that of the catholic church, and viewed what were the similarities. We then talked about why Father Lacombe came to St. Albert... which was to evangelize the people, and build a new home. We also discussed his good relationship with the First nations people. Finally, we added this to our timeline.

This afternoon, we began to work on our Fathers Day Project.

We were also presented with the St. Albert Public Library's super awesome summer reading games!

Students were tested on Sight Words.

Have a great weekend.
