After Daily 5, morning message and calendar time, grade 1's began a "What am I" writing. They were asked to describe an animal as best as they could, and early next week, they will finish their writing. Grade 2's finished their French stories.

After little recess and snack, grade 1's practiced the make 10 strategy (Mlle Élodie made a mistake and tried to explain make 10 using subtraction... didn't make much sense)!!! Grade 2's practiced adding double digit numbers using a break down strategy: 36+28, break it down to 30+6+20+8, add the unit 6+8=14, add the tenth 20+30=50, add altogether 50+14=64.
