This morning students wrote: "No school tomorrow." in their agendas. Students were reminded that today they could steal French speaking bâtons, we discussed that at the end of the day, we would be counting bâtons and earning our prize. Students were also given a French speaking challenge for next week: by Friday, if everyone has 5 bâtons, we will have a pajama and bring a teddy bear day, OR... even better if everyone has 10 bâtons we will ALSO have a Break a Rule day.

Afterwards, and as per usual, students completed a round of French Daily 5, followed by the morning message and our calendar time. Grade 1's continued to work on their Spring stories, and grade 2's continued to add to their mystery stories.

After little recess and snack, we read a book about key seeds, and then we went outside as a class, where the grade 1's drew their spring time tree, and the grade 2's  used compasses to orientate their way around the yard.

When we returned to the classroom, we discussed what we saw and then counted our French speaking bâtons and earned our prizes.

After lunch and big recess students continued to work on their non-fiction google slides presentation... They were lucky to have a gym break with Mme Harding before continuing their hard work (their presentatiions look AWESOME!)
