This morning students wrote: "We have library tomorrow." in their agendas.

At this morning's assembly, Mme Dominique decided to have the whole school perform one of the Christmas songs that will be sung at the concert, it was so nice! I am really looking forward to the concert next week!

Today, in French, grade 1's and grade 2's did their French daily 5, followed by our morning message and calendar time. Afterwards, we read a French book about getting dressed for winter time, and we had a good class disucssion about how to dress warm, even though we may not like the way we look.

After snack and indoor recess, grade 1's enjoyed two blocks in music with Mme Dominique, Grade 2's enjoyed one block with Mme Dominique followed by a bloc of Social Studies, where we talked about the differences in activities between St. Albert and Meteghan, we especially reviewed the things we do to take care of our cities (pick up trash in the yards/by the ocean) following this, we talked about the things that children learn in Meteghan that's the same or different as St. Albert, we focused mainly on the language.

When the grade 1's returned, both classes practiced naming a number that is one more, one less, two more, two less than a given number, with the use of a dice that had 3 sides with one dot and 3 sides with two dots, and a die with the numbers 4,5,6,7,8,9. The class was especially encouraged to say 'un/deux de plus que ____ est _____' (One/two more than ____ is _____). They brought their activity sheets home.

This afternoon grade 1's enjoyed gym with Mme Harding, while the grade 2's learned about the word: 'imperméable' (waterproof) we had fun identifying different objects that are more/less waterproof than others.

In zones grade 2's practiced identifying when it's good to be in each zone. Grade 1's reviewed different and the way to regulate their different reactions/feelings. One of them being: STOP count to ten, breathe in, breathe out.

We ended our day with beginning to write a letter to Santa Claus. The class was asked to follow the following model:

Dear Santa,

-Have you been naughty or nice

-Tell him something

-Request what you would like

-Ask a question

From:_____

P.S-Ask one more thing.

Letters will be finished tomorrow.
