Our agenda message today is 'Return all library books and bags tomorrow'.
This morning we were presented some more of our silly animals, displaying oral presentation skills. We followed this by beginning to work on the script for our play 'Les trois petits cochons'. We spent a large amount of time finding combo sounds.
After small recess, students enjoyed music with Mme Dominique.
Upon returning to the classroom, we discussed the way that we need to behave for Arbor Day. We went over classroom rooms that are the same at field trips. Students then had time to put on Sunscreen and bug spray before eating lunch.
At 12:30 we arrived to our fun Arbor Day Field trip! Students participated to the following activities: Story & Snack, Airbrushing & Craft, check their tattoos out, Tree Planting where they planted a tree along the side of Grosvenor Pool, Birds of Prey was plenty of fun, because they were able to learn about an owl, tree talk was nice, as they were able to learn about the trees they brought home. Their nature walk and talk was about all things that live in the nature of St. Albert, pot-a-tree from which we received our own very own tree we can plants and a nature games station!
Once we were back in our classroom, we completed our Daily 5 followed by a class discussion about what we loved from Arbor Day!
*due to our field trip, and tomorrow with library cutting between two blocks, our addition and subtraction of numbers up to 20 will occur on FRIDAY.*
