Happy Friday everyone.

This morning students wrote: "Check out my report card" in their agendas. We then participated to a school assembly.

Students continued work on their La chenille qui fait des trous books.

After small recess we spent a lot of time practicing using groups of 10 to count, and using a number to allow us to predict how many groups of ten we would need, and how many would be left! Students will be so ready for grade 2!!

After recess, we began with daily five and then had a mini lesson on story writing, more specifically planning our story just as we plan out how we are going to build our community, and leprechaun traps. Students also looked at the importance of a story having a beginning, a middle and an end. We began writing a collective story, we wrote the first two parts, leaving the ending for the students to complete on their own.

Afterwards, we spent some time learning that Jesus came to begin God's kingdom on earth.

Report cards were sent home at the end of today, please look through them, and remember that your child has worked very hard, be proud :)
