Our agenda message today is 'Check out recycled books from the library'. End of the year mass permission forms were also sent home this morning... additional copies are on my Permission Forms page!

This morning students were quite excited to find out that we would be welcoming the kindergarten classes in our classroom! This brought back many memories for them, as they thought back to when they were welcomed into a grade one classroom as kindergarteners.

And so, in preparation for our kinder-visit, we logged in to our chromebooks early in the morning, and got onto kidblog. Students then prepared a page for each kindergarten class that would visit.

After recess, the kindergarten classes each spent 10 minutes in our classroom, where they had the time to type their name with the help of a grade one student, as well as a small message about their preferences. The grade ones were AWESOME teachers! WOW!

Following this, they enjoyed a break in Musique with Mme Dominique.

In math we talked about different properties of shapes, whether it is that it can slide, roll, it's smooth, has corners etc. and we looked at sorting rules. Following this, we created our own, using the shapes we brought to school.

One of our grade one friends brought a birthday snack for the class to enjoy.

This afternoon we began to work on our special father's day gifts. We also had the chance to go to the library to choose two books that are in need of a new home!

That's all for today!
