Our agenda message today was 'Check out recycled books from the library'. Every year Mme Lina goes through her library inventory, and finds books that are no longer being selected regularly as library books, and she gives them away as gifts! Enjoy!

We started our day off by delegating each part of our plays (Trois petits cochons or Cendrillon). Then the grade 1's practiced their play, while grade 2's practiced theirs as well.

Afterwards, grade 1's worked on a sheet that described their story, and the changes that have occurred, this will help guide their explanation tomorrow about their family's past.

Grade 2's reviewed the many Ukrainian traditions and we began to talk about certain Easter traditions, like decorating Pysanky eggs.

The class enjoyed some jumping and tag games in the gym.

After big recess and snack, students learned about triage rules. They learned that a triage rule is a rule you use to organise objects in groups. Then the class learned about characteristics of objects, we learned that you can organise objects based on their similar characteristics. Then the class began to practice naming a variety of shapes, and naming their characteristics (faces/corners etc.)

Students enjoyed looking through the library for some recycled books.

After lunch, big recess and daily 5, grade 1's worked on creating a google slide about the needs of plants and animals, while grade 1's made a google slide about what they know of Saskatoon so far.
