Our agenda message today was ''Please return ALL classroom books tomorrow". It is nearing the end of the school year, and classroom inventory needs to be taken. Please take the time to look around your house tonight, and return all leveled books. I kindly ask that all lost or damaged books be replaces. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Students completed a round of French daily 5, decoded the morning message and completed calendar time. Then the grade 2's worked on organizing insects into different groups (carnivores or herbivores), and learned about Ukrainian traditions and Festivals, specifically the Ukrainian Festival which happens in August.
Grade 1's listened to the beginning of a French story, and were asked to finish the story in their own words and on paper.
After little recess and snack, students worked on their Father's Day gifts.
The class did a good job reacting to our Fire Drill.
Students who brought an object with a shape in it presented their objects, and explained what characteristics the shapes in the object had.
After lunch, big recess and daily 5, students finished their second part of the Fathers Day gift.
The class enjoyed gym with Mme Harding
When students returned to class we discussed bike and street safety.
