This morning students wrote: "Read a book to mom or day." in their agenda's. Enjoy listening to your child read tonight!
We did not have an assembly today due to the track and field event for the grades 4-6.
Students completed a round of French Daily 5, decoded the morning message, and calendar time. Afterwards, grade 2's began finding all of the French sounds in their class play (Cinderella).
Grade 1's listened to the beginning of a story, afterwards, they were asked to predict what they thought would happen next, and then they were asked to write the end of the story for the book.
After little recess and snack, grade 1's and 2's completed an evaluation of addition and subtraction of numbers up to 20/100.
Students enjoyed music with Mme Dominique.
After lunch and big recess, grade 1's enjoyed gym with 1A while grade 2's read a fun bug-themed book and then they learned to identify the animals as plant eaters, animal eaters or decomposers and identify other animals that may use them as a food source. This allowed the grade 2's to understand each insect/animal's role in the food chain.
When the grade 1's returned we completed a round of Daily 5, then the class continued to work on their English animal/insect research project.
