Good afternoon! This morning's agenda message was: "100 day and library tomorrow" remember those posters, and snacks as well as your books!

This morning students participated in writing a collective story about an insomniac dad. This will prepare them for a futur project of writing a collective winter story with their grade one friends.

After small recess we completed the first part of our five senses evaluation.

Mme Dargis-Boucher came for a surprise visit, treating the class with Oreo cookies!!! Strong start has now come to a close. I do hope that your child is now able to say that: 1) there is no BAD feeling, all feelings are good. 2) There are strategies to help manage our bad feelings (angry bird strategies). 3) There are small problems, medium problems, and big problems, but whatever our problem is, our reaction should be at the same level (ex. you shouldn't be screaming for an ambulance for a tiny cut). 4) That worry is something that controls us, and we cannot letter worry be the boss of us, so use the angry bird strategies to help us. 5) To have a friend is to be a friend. 6) know what's right and wrong in your tummy, and be a problem solver.

We then explored our world, what colors we can see from space, how some parts of the world are smaller than others, etc. Tomorrow we will be completing the WORLD level in our learning, exploring different parts of the world.

This afternoon, students were introduced to writers workshop as a choice for Daily 5. This is very exciting, as now your child will be able to select a Daily 5 activity that will encourage either a correct reading behavior, listening behavior, or writing behavior! So much fun!

Students had gym with M. Loiselle, this is our last week of gymnastics.

To end our day, we reviewed what kind of things are expected from us during lent.

That's all for today!
