Monday April 4th 2016
Happy Monday everyone! This morning students wrote: "Read a French book!" in their agendas. Please take the time tonight to sit down and listen to your child read you a French book!
This morning we spent a lot of time learning new french vocabulary to be able to vocalize what we did over spring break: "Je suis allé..." "J'ai fait..." etc. Students shared with a partner all of the different things that they did, and shared with the class. Tomorrow we will be writing about these different things we did! We also got to listen to our star of the week present his poster!
After small recess, students enjoyed music with Mme Dominique.
In gym we started our next unit: racquets. Students learned how to hold the racquets properly, and place their bodies in the "ready" position. We also practiced balancing small beanbags on our racquets while doing brisk movements, and finally we practiced tossing the beanbag to a partner, with them attempting to catch it.
Back in the classroom, we looked back at what we learnt in our Math unit of numbers up to 100, completing an Easter themed worksheet. This was sent home, and is meant to be kept at home!
This afternoon we continued writing our non-fiction stories.
We ended our day talking about the resurrection of Jesus, and drawing the tomb from which he emerged!
