This morning's agenda message was "Break a rule form due Monday!" Please remember that if your child wants to break any of the following rules: wear pyjamas (2$) Sit anywhere during the day (1$) Stand up during lunch (1$) bring a toy (2$) or Break all the Rules (for the low price of 5$) It comes at a PRICE! All the money raised goes towards helping build a school in the Philippines.

Students finished writing about their little person.

After small recess we did and afternoon of Math games to practice our addition and subtraction skills. The games included: Addition Bingo, Hot Dots (Math flash cards that you use a doter to verify your answer), Dice games, Card games and Dominos games.

The afternoon was composed of completing our English reading strategies book mark. We discussed all of the following reading strategies: Does it make sense, Sight words (key words), sound it out, little word in big word, search for known words/patterns, 1st sound-2nd sound POPS into your head, backtrack and read again and Skip and go back!

After the discussion, I modeled reading using these strategies-Which was quite hard, but quite fun for the students to watch me struggle!

Please encourage your child to use their book marks to remind them of these strategies.

Have a wonderful weekend!
