Our agenda message today is 'Read a book with mom or dad'. in order to help your child with their reading fluency (if you're finding that their reading is choppy and. word. for. word. read the book, and tell them to read it the way you did. You can also read a page of the book together, and encourage your child to match your speed and tone!
This morning students were able to explore some new French words. They practiced sharing which animal they like, and which they didn't with a partner.
We also listened to our star of the week's presentation
Students enjoyed Music with Mme Dominique. Shortly afterwards, they enjoyed practicing the Cha cha slide and chicken dance, afterwards, we practiced our Flash Mob dance.
In math, students used double sided chips to find all sums to 13. We then discussed different strategies we can use to find the answer to this odd number.
This afternoon students explored their non-fiction writing, we then created an editors checklist to ensure our non-fiction books were truly non-fiction. Tomorrow we will be searching information to start NEW non-fiction books.
We ended our day learning that Jesus has prepared a place for us in the House of the Lord. We know the way to the place where Jesus went.
