This morning our agenda message was: "Return your library books tomorrow". This is a confirmation that we will indeed have our library time switched again for this week!
Students completed some fun Winter-Word activities, including the reading of the book "Les bonshommes de neige le soir" (Snowmen at night), playing some charades, as well as beginning some snowmen at night writing, which will lead us into some snowmen art, and snowmen reading and ALL things snowmen!
We enjoyed music with Mme Dominique!
In the gym students completed some rotation activities, learning how to do proper pencil rolls, log rolls, egg rolls and oyster rolls.
Mlle Élodie then told us some math stories that we needed to demonstrate with images and numbers-this was good practice for tomorrow's evaluation.
After big recess, we were introduced to having a choice when we do our daily 5! Wether it be Read to Self, Read to someone or listen to a story. This will then allow us to declare which reading strategy we plan on working on before getting started with reading.
We then discussed the following church season: Lent! Students explored a variety of words that are often used during lent. We talked about what will happen Wednesday during our celebration in the afternoon, and what the ashes represent.
