I apologize for the late post... The website decided it needed to do maintenance!
this morning, students wrote a message in their agenda "Please return all library books!"
Students finished their descriptive writing about their moms, and completing their work with a lovely picture!
afterwards we completed our next level of community, being Alberta, we reviewed our rights and responsibilities as Albertans, looked at a google maps of distances and differences in landscape between places in Alberta, and we also visited why certain cities are named differently-specifically the origins of the name!
students then completed some activities on their sense of sight, using only one eye to accurately drop a penny into a roll-much harder than it looks! We also discussed why some animals have their eyes pointing to the sides, and some forwards.
our afternoon consisted of review! We looked back at our magic C's printing page, finding all the letters we printed that weren't on the line, or formed properly. We also revisited our old stories in our writers workshop books to try to stretch them out!
A busy RULE BREAKING DAY in 1B! Thank you to everyone for your participation :)
