Good evening parents!

Today was very busy! 

Our morning message was another reminder that "We have library tomorrow" THIS IS NOT CORRECT, AS WE HAVE THE AUTHOR COMING, LIBRARY WILL THEREFORE BE THIS FRIDAY! I apologize for this inconvenience

We did some centers this morning:

1-Writers Workshop (we wrote about something we know about, using the word wall to help us with our spelling)

2-Drew myself as part of a group-Mlle will be putting this in our reading corner once she has everyone's completed drawings!

3-We did some Word Work with our sight words, using white boards to write them out, and magnetic letters

4-We played a few math games, practicing our subtilizing skills!

5-Students were visited by our Speech Language Pathologist and she played some rhyming games with the students

After recess we dressed our two new bear friends: George and Marie, and we talked about what we should wear during Autumn (Please discuss this with your child, so that they can help you choose what they should bring to school for recess!)

We talked about the number 11, we made a tally, we used dice, ten grids and a number line to represent 11

We discovered the words "transparent" and "opaque" using different liquids!

Students read to self, and helped me read a message about the "two vowels go walking"' rule

The class enjoyed gym with M. Loiselle!

Students became experts on the letters t, k and j!
